Vice President & Co-founder
Reese Chism is Vice President and Co-Founder of AG Headhunters LLC, a consulting firm focused on recruiting and retention services for the agriculture industry. Reese is a highly-skilled search professional with over 12 years of experience recruiting in the industries of agriculture, banking, and engineering.
Prior to launching AG HeadHunters, Reese was the Managing Director and Founder of RL Simone, a boutique search practice focused on engineering and finance. Reese was responsible for establishing relationships with engineering firms of all sizes throughout the Mid-South where he recruited Mid to Senior Level engineers, business development personnel, project managers, and GIS professionals. During this time, he furthered his expertise along the lines of technology, name generation, sourcing, recruiting, and running an enterprise.
Previous to RL Simone, Reese spent five years running a full-desk recruiting practice with ThinkingAhead Executive Search, a subsidiary of the Southwestern Company, one of Nashville's most established and regarded businesses. With his focus being agricultural banking, commercial banking, and finance, he successfully generated business with clients that included Fortune 500 global financial services companies, regional banks, and community banks.
While at ThinkingAhead, Reese expanded his role, spearheading the development of new ideas designed to broaden the breadth and depth of the brand’s reach. He was the lead source generator, successfully creating a system to help recruiters find new candidates for the company’s most profitable group. He was also regarded as an expert on the CRM database, helped establish video and podcast campaigns, and was active in content creation, public speaking, and running the A/V components during various company trainings, meetings, and events.
Preceding ThinkingAhead, Reese was a GIS Analyst and Project Lead with AMEC Earth and Environmental where most of his work was FEMA-sponsored floodplain management projects. Additionally, he played a vital role in the completion of a wide array of private, municipal, state, military, and government engineering assignments.
Reese is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in Meteorology and Climatology.
In his spare time, Reese helps operate a family-run industrial hemp farm and is working on his sixth season growing and processing industrial hemp.
Reese enjoys spending time with his “Teacher of the Year” recipient bride, Laurie, their two children, Claudia and Julian, and their feisty cat, Sassafras. He also has a passion for creating and performing music with his friends and family.
